Rats. The rodent. The vermin, the filth, the lowest of the lowest, skittering, tittering and scrambling out of the light, away from prying eyes. The bringers of plagues, the killers of generations. Sick and twisted, shunned by the normal human, unwanted passengers on ships, I have had to deal with them for a long time as a boatwright, just like my da and my granda, and I got pretty damn good at it too. But what happens when unholiness worms its way in this generations-old conflict?
