Prologue

The Western Continent is where four Empires stood: the Empire of Ashia, the land of holy magic and power where the church is most influential.

The Empire of Eldritch, home of witchcraft and wonder and also in good terms with Ashia.

The Empire of Andreios, where courage, bravery and where most well-known knights came from and lastly,

The Empire of Opulette, where wealth and business are power.

The woman looked down below, to the farm fields, breathing in the fresh air.

How many months has it already been since she went to the Capital of Ashia?

She sighed as she was not expecting anything from what she did, participating in the opening exams conducted by the Academy, as she walked off to her little cabin in the woods.

She puts the basket full of fruits and vegetables that she harvested near her home at the kitchen table as she turned to the picture frame by the fireplace.

You could see a picture of a beautiful woman, a vixen, but it seems like it's only a past for the lady.

She got sent back to reality when she heard a knock coming from her door.

"Just a minute!"

She shouted and took a towel to wipe her wet hands as she was about to clean the vegetables for supper.

She hurriedly ran towards the door and opened the locks to see a young mailman. "What can I help you with, Sir?" she asked with a sweet smile that made the young man's heart thump.

"Uh... Are you Lady Callista Alberts?" he asked rather bashfully because of the beauty that was in front of him "Oh, yes" she replied so the man hurriedly took the letter in his bag with trembling hands.

"I came to deliver you a letter." he said as a blush crept through his cheeks as he handed her the letter "Thank you. You must be tired from the journey. Mind if I offer you a glass of tea for your hard work?" she offered, so he quickly shook his head to decline.

"I-I'm okay, My Lady. I still have a lot of letters to deliver, so please excuse me!" he said and hurriedly bowed his head in farewell and ran off without even turning back making the woman chuckle.

She closed the wooden door and turned to the picture in the fireplace again when she saw an Academy's emblem on the letter. She took a deep breath before opening it with expectation.

"Lumin Academy of Arcane Arts

Where Magic and Mastery Converge"

Callista immediately caught sight of the Academy crest engraved in the letter which made her purse her lips.

She smiled at the contents of the letter before her eyes darted to the picture frame by the fireplace once again, as if her eyes immediately seeked for her face "It seems I have your wish granted, Grandma" she said with a smile of relief.
