Shindo Wakitani is a 17-year old teenager who lives a boring life gets sent to another world after being left on a bus during a school trip because he was sleeping the whole time. He wakes up in another realm and meets a goddess, who tells him about the new world and how he is one of the chosen few who will help in saving it from the Demon Queen who has long terrorized over it. After finding out that the new world will be like those fantasy and medieval games he has played, he is filled with rare excitement and is eager to start right away, only to realize that he won't get to decide how he begins his journey.
