Aiden never believed in magic, so when he unexpectedly casts a spell, he is unprepared for the AI interface that augments his vision and transports him to another world to attend Talindor Academy, School of the Arcane Arts and Elemental Sciences. But when he arrives he discovers dangerous creatures that are draining the world’s magic, and a cryptic prophecy that foretold of a Champion who will lead the battle against the invading Rift Shadows. Now to return home to Earth, Aiden must survive magical attacks, master his newfound skills, and unravel the mysteries of the prophecy all without getting kicked out of Talindor Academy and losing his only way back home forever. * * * * * Rupture will be updated every Monday & Thursday. Length: Typically chapters are about 2000-3000 words (occasionally more, rarely less). About the Rating: This story is designed to be accessible to a wide audience and would probably rate a PG-13 rating if it was a movie (so, battles and challenges similar to an action-adventure summer blockbuster movie, but no gore, dark topics, etc). Inspirations: One of my favorite stories is The Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan and I believe a big part of the reason the story held up so well is because he had a plan which allowed him to foreshadow future books and deliver a satisfying conclusion (IMHO). Therefore, I have been outline this series over a year before I began writing to ensure that there is an arc for these characters and quite a bit to share about their world, the school and of course the rupture. My goal is to write a Harry Potter World in the style of Robert Jordan. I hope you enjoy it - I would also love to hear your feedback and ideas.
