Synopsis
The dead are walking in Osso, and now it’s everyone’s problem.
Eko’s hit rock bottom. Having moved back in with her family after leaving her mage’s guild in blood and disgrace, she’s spent the last few years as a freelancer. She’s got no friends, no plan, and no future – just a client list full of criminals and too much free time. But when ghouls start cropping up around Osso, Eko finally has a reason to go all out. Trouble is, there’s more than a couple of graves at risk here and Eko might have to face some ghosts of her own to protect the people she loves.
Memphis is at the end of his rope. He’s been hunting an escaped necromancer for months, and his luck has all but run dry. His Order is growing impatient as the body count rises, and failure to wrap this up quickly could end in total slaughter. Taking a chance that his prey is headed north, he heads to Osso city in hopes of ending this once and for all. Unfortunately, there’s more than just the undead waiting for him.
Syd’s Screwed. Folks are going missing in Osso City and since people around town still don’t trust the local guards, the responsibility falls to the Scarecrow Mercenary Company to set things right. Too bad the guards don’t see it that way. Trying to balance his obligation to the town while staying out of jail is hard enough but when his task puts him in the path of Osso’s pretty, sharp-tounged mage and a pair of Hunters, Syd suspects he may have bitten off more than he can chew.
