The past must be forgotten.

The past must be forgotten.

Karate- A sport said to date back thousands of years. Originally, used by monks and seen as an art rather than a martial art.

As of now, Karate is practiced by around 100 million people in the Modern Era, Record-High numbers. Within the sparse-knit community of Karate, several tournaments are introduced and commenced within a year, the most common tournaments being practiced within high-schools.

Karate is a cruel sport, one slip is one point. Three points is the end.

Kay opened his eyes in a daze as he separated his mind from a Karate thread. The events of yester still crashing down on him. Kay held his chest as he lay down on his wool couch in a slouch..

----------------------------------------

A fist rose from the right, it's trajectory and target unclear, the image soon became an untraceable blur.

As Kay blinked his left arm was releasing pulses of pain due to the collision that had happened, before he could even react to this pain his opponent released a flurry of strikes.

Led on by instincts alone, Kay found himself blocking his opponents fast strikes and high kicks before he rolled to the right.

Leg.

"Point."

A left leg had traversed through the air in a round manner before it hit his right cheek sending him to the floor.

That was all Kay saw before a blur travelled across his vision and he found himself on the floor. The announcer shouting was all he had to hear to realize he had been hit with a kick to the face.

"And a beautiful right kick that Ippa has landed on his opponent right there!"

The crowd cheered and the cheers soon muffled. The muffling was however no treat as the pain of a possibly broken nose and the realization that blood had dripped down his white Ki was brought to attention. Kay touched over his body to ensure he could still fight before gritting his teeth and nodding. Raising his right hand, the arena calmed in waves.

"It looks like Kay is still up for the count!"

Kay walked bowed and readied his fists.

I won't let you get me again, thought Kay as he met eyes with his opponent.

Short black hair and demonly white eyes, his movements were too fast and his strikes too precise to fight.

The narrative has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the infringement.

Kay readied his senses as he dulled all distractions as he had been taught.

"Hai."

A sharp blow came from his opponents right, Kay grasped his wrist before aiming for the chest.

"Guh."

Kay felt the air leave his lungs as he was sent back a few steps, his stomach still sunk from the impact of a nasty right kick.

"Point."

Kay held onto the ground as he crouched down. Holding onto his chest, he could soon hear his continuous pants again. It was not long before the commentating broke in once more.

"And that's another point, will this final be one of the quickest in the history of the school? Let's see Folks!"

Kay gritted his teeth again, after steadying his breaths he rose his hand again.

"It would seem that statement is up for debate since participant Kay is back for the count."

Kay walked out, bowed and met his opponents eyes again.

I can't beat him off instincts alone I need to be...

A strike from the right again,

Faster.

Blocked, a kick from the left.

Blocked, A strike from the left.

Versatile.

Dodged, A sweep.

Jumped.

A flurry of blows.

Better.

4 hands mixed in a blur as the sound of hands passing almost echoed.

The opponent rose for another right kick to the face yet his mind registered but one thing.

Leg.

Kay watched in coarse pants as he saw his opponent hit the floor whilst his two feet met the hard mat.

After getting over his brief lapse of surprise the commentator continued.

"Would you look at that, participant Kay just soared through the air as he countered Ippa's kick with his own!"

Ippa and Kay both bowed before staring at each other again, this time in a different mood.

Ippa had lost his complete power and honor as he looked at Kay with white hot rage.

As the match started, Kays opponent dipped down in an instant.

Kay leaped, after confirming a sweep he aimed a front kick for the face.

Feeling it get blocked Kay backed off before going on the offense.

I can't win with just defensive counters, Kay felt his desperation in the form of sweat on his arms.

A round kick was caught by his opponent but not before he released a flurry of strikes from his fists.

His opponent caught them in perfect order before aiming for a swift strike to Kays stomach with his right.

Kay blocked in a split-moment decision before aiming a high kick despite the high range.

Kay rebounded from blocking a hard blow from his opponent before he used the momentum to direct his risen leg to perform a round kick with perfect rotation.

His opponent caught it again before going on the offense.

Kay couldn't even think anymore as he moved his hands in desperate hope.

Catching a long barrage before dodging a high round kick from his opponent Kay met his white-hot eyes as he felt his feet leave the floor.

Kay felt the power surge through his legs as his eyes were washed with glory.

It's over, Kay whispered in his mind.

Kay felt his body spin before his right foot landed on his opponents face.

A beautiful kick ensued. Into air.

Kay could not see his opponent anywhere. Swearing mentally in the few short milliseconds Kay desperately searched for his opponent. Dying for an answer.

An answer he found.

Kay could only see two things before he passed out.

Two white eyes.

Leg.

Boom.

"Would you look at that folks, after that majestic clash Ippa has taken victory with a similar finish to the last round!"

Kay could only see the world through blurry eyes as his ears were creasing from the huge cheering and bright colours.

"That marks the winner of the Alberian High School Karate Tournament!"

"And his name is..."

"Ippa."

"Kazuki!"

Cheers roared.

Kay felt the world slip from his grasp.
