Kay brushed his hair to the side as he looked at his state in the mirror.
Messy hair, partially sunk eyes, pale skin and an unhealthy complexion.
Ain't that great. Kay sighed as he put on his uniform, leaving the door to his room he passed a wooden frame.
Within the frame was a picture, within the picture stood a boy holding a second place medal, bruised and battered. Alone.
Kay walked across sunny streets paved with pavements.
The brick houses that mirrored each other made a maze-like feature for the relatively average sized neighbourhood.
Kay sighed again as he looked at the entrance gate of a crowded concrete expanse. A foreboding sense pushed down on him, brushing it off and walking forward Kay pushed and barged before he found himself past a large crowd of bustling students.
Looking around in slight worry, Kay's worries were swept away when he spotted a familiar face.
Jack. Kay relieved.
An old friend, from after his Karate days but before his most recent days. The two had known each other for around 2 years. Jacks blonde hair coupled with his neat figure contrasted to the messy Kay.
After light conversation on the way to the classroom an interesting topic peaked Kays curiosity.
"Sorry, what did you say?" Kay asked with raised eyebrows.
"Vulture, it's some game I thought you might enjoy, VRMMOPG or something. It released today and hit record sales, but we all know this is the kind of game that dies within a year..."
"Interesting..."
Kay made a mental note before the rowdy class silenced at the sound of an open door.
Two hands on a clock chased each other in dissapointment.
Kay gulped awkwardly as he checked the clock behind him to realize that the lunch bell had rung 5 minute ago.
"Good nap?"
Kay ignored Jack before dragging him to the dining hall.
The two stood in a line before they felt their backs shuffling for a giant of a student.
A broad back, a large figure and short, brisk brown hair. His gorilla like features created a primal elemant of fear in those who saw him.
Jack and Kay looked at him and his friends in annoyance but quickly began to back off.

A broad voice emerged from behind them.
"Got a problem?"
"No, sir."
Kay sighed as he felt the rumbles his stomach would go through increase.
"Good. Becau-"
The smell of flowers cemented into perfume materialized alongside a blonde-haired girl with rosy cheeks and a character that made those in the surrounding turn heads for unwillingly.
The giant scratched his ear in slight embarrassment oddly.
"H-hey-."
"Ja-ack. Do you know why this happened?"
Jack was surprised that he was the recipient but broke into the conversation delightfully.
After around half a minute the two left with friendly smiles.
Jack was obviously in a better mood and Kay was genuinely happy for him, however another man clearly thought differently.
Jack felt a massive hand land on his shoulder, the force made his knees weak, yet he stood upright.
"Got a problem?" Jack spoke in slight grunts due to the excessive force.
"Does this say enough?."
The giant stared at Jack blankly before Jack found himself thrown right into a student on the left.
Beans, chilli and beef landed on Jacks uniform before chortles of laughter and guffaws broke out from the Giants group of 5.
Kay clenched his fist as he looked at the giant defiantly.
Calm down Kay, you're in no fighting condition...
Kay was willing to compromise if the situation ended here, but alas some things don't end in one strike.
Jack shouted in frustration and red.
"What was that for??"
The giant chuckled .
"Maybe this will help you understand."
A readied fist.
Kay could only feel his feet slide slightly before being pulled by himself across the wet floor as he found himself right behind the giant.
Years of training, muscle memory and repetition combined matched Kay as two figures did the exact same movements.
Kay soon found his hands on the floor, using them as an anchor as his legs performed a round sweep from almost pure raw instinct.
The giant and the whole room was in silence.
Wiping off a particularly large section of chilli the giant looked at Kay and Jack with a flickering smile.
Before he started laughing as he stood himself up slowly.
Villainously of course.
"HAHAHA."
"You're dead."
His face instantly became a death insignia as Jack and Kay grimaced.
Kay spoke with all he could muster in a whisper as he looked at the charging group ahead.
"I'll protect you."
Kay concentrated his entire mind, attaching it to a specific frame.
I can't falter here. Kay thought as he looked at the enemy.
Kay felt his view rotate as he began picturing the situation.
The first assaulter was a tall boy with long black hair.
A tackle.
Kay instantly responded with a front kick, timing it perfectly with hundreds of hours of practice.
Kay felt his kick match an invisible puzzle frame by frame.
A grunt could be heard as the boys head was sent back from the attack.
Before Kay could continue from his kick another boy emerged from behind.
Green hair and a wider build.
Kay saw a right hook preparing so he reacted accordingly. Kay closed the gap in an instant.
The green hair, unknowing of the change could only feel his center of gravity get anchored down by an invisible force as he felt his back hit the cold floor, and a fist wind his large stomach.
Kays eyes were now fully immersed, allowing him to feel his screaming instincts.
Kay used his crouched position to perform another round-sweep.
A thud confirmed the success.
Caught in the adrenaline, Kay charged, landing a left strike to a purple-haired boys cheek.
Kay ran to his final opponent.
Kay felt the world fall under him as he soared.
Kay grinned as he felt the wind pass by his cheeks, the adrenaline down his veins and the power in his legs.
Kay spun his body around as he readied an aerial round kick.
It's over. Kay whispered in his mind as he had done so many years ago.
And all the giant could see was a rotating blur of a leg.
What's happe-
"GAH."
