The judge slammed his hammer to make his declaration known

“I hereby sentence Victoria and Alexandra Crawford to life imprisonment”

Around the room was an air which could start a tornado, take for instance the Defence Attorney and the defendants they were devastated, sad and all-around gloomy. While the prosecutor was rather happy and the plaintiff even more so. Though because nobody chased anybody around a tornado would not occur but a strange air was made, an air which would make you wonder why such the mixed feelings?

It was because nearly the whole ordeal was rigged. A certain girl had done something to annoy a certain powerful politician. The woman had a one night stand with this politician but the politician wanted more, he wanted a family.

This is where the problem had arisen the woman has already got a husband so cannot have a relationship with the man. And as people who have power do, he got annoyed. Oddly enough not at the husband, no this was not jealousy for the husband but sympathy for the husband and anger at the woman.

The politician devised a plan over many weeks to get back at the woman to no avail. Until something started. A string of murders which all the victims are single males started to happen. The series of events came to the knowledge of the politician and he had her accused of the murders.

The politician had her at the scene of the crime with a weapon, a victim, and the police before she even knew about it.

So as per usual rumors spread about it being a hoax and she did not really do it. All in the room taken in to consideration it was mostly half and half. One-half rather sad and able to shed a tear and the other with eyes as wet as a barren wasteland.

Why would half the room cry it was simple. She had a son and he was 8, yes you may think 'boo hoo its nothing for people to cry about is it?' in normal cases you probably would be right but everyone knew what the judge was about to say.

“All duties for taking care of the child will go to the father of said child and the mother will not be able to see and talk to her child lest he be tainted”

For you see the prosecutions are taken very seriously deeming any criminal to be mentally unfit to do not very much at all so all rights for taking care of children were taken away. Then taking extreme measures to making sure anyone which could be influenced by them is taken away. In this case it was only her son, if she had been older her grandchildren, nieces and nephews would have been taken away from her also.

The politician did not have a black heart though, he knew if he accused her normally she would be executed but in this country a rather odd law was in place that protects anyone from execution if another family member by blood is sentenced with them.

This rather odd law stemmed from an old story about a nobleman standing up for a commoner of the capital who had been accused wrongly. The nobleman could not get executed for he was far too important so the execution was called off. Over time a rumor surfaced that the two were in fact related by blood though this was after the nobleman had married into the royal family so it is now seen as an attack on the royal family if someone is executed with a family member bound by blood sentenced with them.

Somehow the politician made sure that the younger sister of the woman would be trialed for the same reason as the woman so she would not be executed so she may live the rest of her life lamenting about what she had done.

As the two got escorted from the courtroom the woman could not look her husband and son in the eye. She just looked past them as if they were any other member of the audience attending.

This made the man hollow inside he now knew that his wife cheated on him and was convinced that it was with many other men. He couldn't believe what was said but it was confirmed by his wife not even looking at him for one last time...
