Her sense of smell is so strong she can smell emotions, and her father can feel vibrations across the earth. Lightning can see things miles away, and storms mother tastes the air for anything she needs to know. Life on the desert planet of the dragon first realm was never easy, but dragon trappers, evil people who kill dragons for the sake of coins and entertainment, move to the first realm 4 years before Storm is born. Storm's little brother, Lightning, is born seven years later. After this, year 4471, Storm is in an argument with her older cousin, Cloud, and is handed over to the trappers for defending a friend. Six years later, she gets sold to a war front. Then, five years later, age fifteen, she returns home only to find her father dead of a heart attack, her mother abandoned the family, her brother writing books desperately trying to earn money to buy food, pay for the house, and keep himself and Rain, Storm's youngest sister, able to go to school. Storm was supposed to be returning to her final three years of school, but instead she turns to a life of hard work with her orphaned siblings, battle hardy and willing to slice the throat of anyone who offends her siblings, and takes up the hobbies fishing and bounty hunting.
