Synopsis
"It is better to be part of the empire than to wither outside of it." These words echo from the mouths of citizens in every nation, small and large, that yearn to be part of The Republic of Xavodia.
Military conquest is seldom needed as Xavodia offers sovereignty to the nations who integrate into the republic peacefully, where rulers maintain authority answering only to the people in their province and to the authority of the Central Command of Xavodia. Once part of the republic, every citizen has the opportunity to live in peace, with equal voting rights to elect their own representatives.
Xavodia offers a massive and technologically advanced infrastructure to the delight of merchants trading goods/services, while a prosperous middle-class grows in every corner of the republic. Most citizens of other nations want to be part of the republic, but some autocrats are defiant, and those nations inevitably succumb under the heel of the powerful Essence users, The Technicians.
Essence usage is prevalent across all the lands, but the power of everyday Essence users is but a raindrop in a vast lake that is a Technician's power. Their natural power is boosted considerably by their Technium powered battle suits.
This is the story of several individuals who inhabit the land and who are destined to cross paths. The story follows two brothers, Major Mohun Dara a Trauma Technician with advanced Healing Essence capabilities, his younger brother, Captain Kabir Dara, the Shield Technician with Enhanced Investigation Essence, and Major Drisana Durga, the commander of the Armored Artillery Train, the Kashubian Dragon. She is an Artillery Technician who leads a hand-chosen blitz vanguard of all-female soldiers and Technicians, nicknamed the “Matrikas”.
These three will find themselves, unwittingly, sucked into the center of an investigation that will span the continent. Their journey will test their sense of morality, challenge their personal philosophies, uncover truths they thought they knew, and find themselves at odds with the fierce Old-Era Technician, The Badla.
