Azken Rafson is the second son of a prominent miner in the dwarf city of Haldmar who, unlike his older brother, has no plans to follow in his father's footsteps and join the family business. He instead plans to join the Scribe academy, a citadel of learning and education within the capital city of Marazek, in order to become a runescribe.
