All James wanted to do was graduate from high school, go to a good college, get a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering and live his life the way he wanted on his own terms. Because life at his high school was nothing to talk about. In fact, it was a living hell. His father was in prison for being a drug dealer and a murderer. His mother was a drug addict, and his brother was following in their father’s footsteps. To make matters worse, everyone in school knew his father and older brother were criminals. So, they assumed he would end up like them. Because of his undeserved reputation, every one of his classmates and the faculty treated him like a criminal drug dealing thug with no future.  With no friends and no one giving him a chance, James had only one thing left to him. His academic achievements. Deciding that higher education would lead to a better life. James studied hard and maintained good grades. Even though he got bullied by his classmates and even picked on by the teachers. He was on track to a great college. That all changed when he and his classmates were summoned to another world. A world of magic and might where they would become heroes and save the world. But before James’s path as a hero could even get started, it ended immediately. Proclaimed an enemy by the king, James was sentence to death. Betrayed by his fellow classmates, he suffered alone in great agony. This is when his true destiny began.
