Willow, a young girl abandoned to the streets by her father after her mothers death has to learn to navigate her new life in a world that would prefer it if her kind didn't exist. Shortly after she meets Slade, a young lizard-kin boy whos ultimate goal is to be the first of his kind to join the heroes guild. But for now he runs a pest extermnation business which he decides Willow (who he insists upon calling Whisp) should join his team of 1 to help expand the business and maybe one day be able to afford a home for themselves. Not seeing any other option she decides to go along with him, and while he seems genuine in his desire to do good he holds a deep resentment that only seems to grow as time moves forward. Will she fall into the same dark pit? Or will she find another way forward.(this description isn't final, am open to suggestions for improvement)
