Marc has lost evetything. His family left him, his friends betrayed him and everyone sees him as a nobody that has never accomplished anything. Oh, and on top of that his left arm is broken and he has cancer.  So when somevoice in his head asks him if he would want to try everything again as a shadowborn, in realm far away, where he will be hunted until his bitter doom he accepts.  Humanity is already ripped after all, what could be worse then that?
