Synopsis
In the year 2500, Earth underwent a cataclysmic transformation. Mysterious rifts tore through the fabric of reality, unleashing hordes of monstrous creatures and mythical races straight out of fantasy novels, games, and comics. These beings, impervious to modern weapons, brought humanity to the verge of annihilation. In humanity's darkest hour, a mysterious system appeared, granting select humans powerful abilities and marking the beginning of a counteroffensive against these terrifying foes.
A century has passed since the initial chaos, and society has drastically adapted, forging a new order centered around these awakened humans. Among them is Rune, an orphan who, despite being the only G-tier awakener, remains without a job class. His lack of definitive skills relegates him to the fringes of this new society, where he is often overlooked and underestimated.
Meanwhile, Richard, the esteemed clan head of the Summoners, faces a poignant dilemma. He has been offered a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to reunite with his long-lost family. However, this reunion comes at a steep price—his allegiance and services. Torn between his duties and the chance to restore his fractured family, Richard must navigate the treacherous political landscape that has evolved in this new era.
As Rune struggles to find his place and prove his worth, and Richard contemplates the sacrifices required for personal happiness, their paths intertwine. Together, they may uncover deeper secrets about the system that awakened them and the true nature of the invaders. Will they be able to rise above their personal challenges and play a pivotal role in humanity's ongoing fight for survival, or will they be crushed under the weight of their destinies? Their choices will not only shape their own fates but also the future of the world.
