In the year 2024, 24 year old mechanical engineer Garland Witherspoon is living in Austin, Texas and working for Tezluh, the leading tech company of the world. When a highly anticipated VR simulation game is released, he and his friends eagerly purchase it and spend their free time playing it. However, as Garland becomes more skilled at the game, he begins to notice strange occurrences within the game world. When one of his friends disappears while playing the game, Garland becomes obsessed with finding out what happened to her and begins to investigate.
