Astrid, a low-grade worker at a Cryogenics lab in the mid 2500s stumbles upon a terrible slip up from centuries ago when she finds that a stranger from the late 21st century has taken the place of a registered customer in one of their oldest cryogenic tanks.  Horrified, she consults her best friend about what best to do in the situation; discard the stranger and try to cover the mistake in order to save the company and the thousands of people it stores, or risk it all in order to revive him to become part of his story, serving them both a live connection to the past.  Written to be a submission to the Royal Road Community Magazine Contest of January 2025.
