Ernin is a former adventurer who’s running out of options. His savings are dwindling, and odd jobs aren’t quite cutting it.  Taking a job to guard a caravan, Ernin meets an old friend named Jost, who offers a warning not to get involved. Brigands in carictured masks terrorize the mountainside, covering their attacks in mist. Some call them supernatural revenants, angered by some ancient wrong, others see them as highwaymen taking advantage of superstition. Who are they and why have they appeared?
