Years ago Orlan was whisked away to another world, a world of magic and monsters. There he became a Protector Lord, master of a grand flying island and wielder of powerful magics, swearing to protect the innocent from monsters that poured from rifts. And he likely would have remained there, had mages not sensed a rift opening back in his home world. Realizing that the mundane world had no protections against such magical beasts, in order to uphold his duty as Protector Lord he chose to travel back and guard them against the monster scourge.
