In all the stories, the young hero dies and is reincarnated in a new, fantasy world with magic and monsters. They go out in the world to defeat evil, grow stronger and live happily ever after. This is not one of those stories. Ian is only a short few years from being able to retire, and he's looking forward to it. All the years of saving and pinching pennies were going to bear fruit. He'd even put down a little on a cabin near the river.  Then, Ian has a stroke and everything changed. Blue boxes, not quite competing systems and he's making a new body, running a tutorial and hoping to just make it to the end of the day. *Tags are just in case.
