Resonant Evolution is a reimagining of the Milky Way Galaxy where intelligent life is common and intergalactic wars are the norm. The Eckzahn Union, a nation built by anthropomorphic wolves, invades Earth in 2029 A.D. following the discovery of an ancient facility built by civilization thousands of years old in Antarctica. The Eckzahn Union is in an arms race with the Pardut Confederation, a multi-species Confederation with the goal of uniting the Galaxy under their rule and religion. The Pardut Worship the ancient civilization as gods, and seek to learn and utilize as many technologies and artifacts as they can. Johannes, a soldier in the Eckzahn Union, takes part in the invasion of earth and returns home to learn that his wife has been murdered, leaving him alone to raise his son. He has to grow and change so that he can give his son the best life he can. Vanir, abandoned by the Eckzahn Union during their war with the Pardut, is rescued by Vejues Pirates and eventually joins them after the nurse him back to health.
