So when a friend of hers stabbed her in the back and left her to bleed out, she wasn't even remotely surprised. But the sweet embrace of death she so deserved seemed to decide to elude her a little longer. When Elena opened her eyes, wondering why she hadn't yet bled out on the cobblestone, the view that met her was nothing like the one she had seen before her demise. Death and decay as far as the eye could see, bloodthirsty... things roaming rotten streets and a bloodied body that most definitely wasn't her own.  Transported to a world where Vampires were far from a myth and way crueller than any books or movies could've prepared her for, Elana now has to take on the identity of Sera, a weak, frail, powerless half-vampire left for dead by her high-ranking vampire father. This could be a new beginning, a way to cheat death, but Elana had spent her life ankle-deep in blood and revenge and the more she learned about this new ruthless, dangerous society, the more she realized that nobody deserved the kind of wrathful vengeance she was so skilled at than Sera herself. There was only one thing standing between Elana and the revenge she wanted to exact...
