Pressured by the immense over population, in the year 3270 the government union decided to start a project to renew the planet. This issue has been twinked for a millenia without much avail, with the overpopulation, city expansion took more than 70% of habitable land. The project of renewal of the planet could not be done alongside the immense population, so it was decided to isolate the population in semi-hibernation chambers equipped with neurological links into a virtual world, essentially a game, featuring only the most primitive technologies, communities and lore, specifically monsters and magic.  The parents of Joel Krod, a engineering graduate, decided to not let their son participate in the project, and instead enter the game 'Renewal' for the best performing participants would stay longer and prolong their lives to experience the future plans of the government union.  Now Joel must use his wits to make a name for himself inside the game and get enough of a position to be in the front lines of the future of the world.
