Previously, Erind Hartwell, a law student with psychopathic tendencies accepted a deal with an eldritch being that imitated her in order to survive. She is now known as an Adumbrae, which are considered a threat to humanity.  However, due to a misunderstanding, Erind is offered to become an Artificial Corebring and join a secret vigilante group. In an effort to maintain her face, Erind accepts the Artificial Core. She will now experience the world as both a Corebring and an Adumbrae. Furthermore, her Artificial Core has given her Adumbrae a unique method to interact with her and the real world...
