Born with a feeble body prone to illness, he thought he’d always be a lowly Apprentice Sigilist. Yet one fateful night, everything changes when he awakens a nascent class passed down through the ages. Reborn as the Remnant Mage, Marek’s body, mind, and core begin to evolve. Only he can view the ethereal world, and as he progresses, learn to command the lingering spirits that haunt it. With the abilities of a summoner and an unholy knight combined, few can resist him should he reach his full strength. Marek has inherited more than power, however. A kingdom seeks to control him, the rest of the world fears him, and if he fails to bind his soul to the realm of the living, he’ll inevitably succumb to madness. Marek departs on a grand quest to master his abilities and slaughter every bandit and monster along the way. Despite seemingly insurmountable odds, he’ll need to rely on one simple fact: his new class is broken.
