Synopsis
in the bustling city of Tokyo, Noato Shinji is a dedicated office worker, but his job consumes him to the point where he sacrifices precious time with his family. When his boss piles more work on him due to a colleague's unfortunate demise, Noato realizes he needs to make a change. On the eve of his daughter Masao's sixteenth birthday, guilt-ridden and determined, he decides to surprise her with a special road trip to the Tokyo Skytree. However, their journey hits a snag when they run out of gas, forcing them to walk to a nearby station. Along the way, Noato attempts to connect with Masao, learning about her aspirations in art and trying to mend their strained relationship. Despite encountering Fiona, his late colleague's sister-in-law, and facing questions about his absence from work, Noato is reminded of the importance of family. With renewed resolve, he vows to find a better balance between work and home life, cherishing the moments he spends with his loved ones. However, tragedy strikes when Noato succumbs to exhaustion and collapses during a crucial work deadline.
