If you are familiar with the multiverse theory, when every diverging option or choice result in a new universe, Regnum's basic history will be easy gor you to grasp. it's essentially the universe of "What would have happened if the Big Bang would have birthed a godlike entity instead of a universe." After an eternity of floating in a void with on space, time, of matter, the entity (Regnum) decided to just create his own universe so he won't die of boredom.
It has only one solar system, and only one planet, Regnum. Regnum rotates on an axis such that it's south pole is always facing towards the sun, and the north pole always away from it. When looking from space with the sun at your back, Regnum rotates counterclockwise.
Around Regnum's equator and at a slight tilt, there is a ring of six moons equidistant from each other and rotating clockwise. As such, night and day are based on how much light the moons are reflecting or concealing.
Across from the sun, on the other side of Regnum, there is a ring of giant glowing astroids made purely of gemstones. At each month, only one of them is seen from the north pole. There is one week at the end of each year when no "Gem Giant" is seen in the sky.
The months are the following:
Ruby
Sapphire
Emerald
Topaz
Heliodor

They are named after the Attributes Of Magic, the governing force of magic in Regnum. In every week, the first half is named after a certain Element's Attributes, and the second half after it's opposing Element's. This list is called "The Elemental Sequence," and is so important to Regnumians that every child is made to memorize it before they even start going to school.
Mana follows the mind. When someone wills something to happen, mana will be nudged in a way that might make it happen if they are lucky and their will is strong enough. When Regnum was alone in existence, no other will could influence mana beside his own, and so mana followed and "solidified" as the magic system of his universe. At this point, this system had been around for so long, and every single sapient is using it, so it's practically unchangeable.
In this system, unlike with the normal behaviour of mana, magic is a combination of drawing and programming. The bace form of mana is transmuted via Will into elemental mana (the colours in this analogy), which is then shaped into a spell via runes or Will, depending of the School Of Magic. The attributes are the fundamental "colours" of mana, but they can be mixed to create new ones.
