Rika hates Pokemon, kind of. Struggling through the final trainer exams, her friend, Mason, is more a liability than anything—that stupid Bidoof! It's always up to her to carry him through trouble and clean up his mess. But when they have to fight each other, only one can advance, and Rika has to decide: Her success or Mason's dream. Little do they know, a far worse challenge is about to unfold. And between you and me... what's that weird smell of licorice all about…? About the Story: Characters will have good times… claw onto them, because they won't stay forever :) Their goals and believes might feel morally questionable (but relatable) Consequences! Screw plot armor—people and Pokémon can get injured and fricking DIE! (It's not grimdark though, just... dark) Some horror and dark elements, but that's not the main focus. Though I like my good old kidnapping and abandoned laboratory… even if it's not quite abandoned yet. Other: Mostly Gen 1-6 Pokémon. Moves/Abilities/Items might work differently than in the anime/games. My goal is to make it intuitive and fun. Everything will be explained throughout the story. Gradually. That being said, it's a slowburn. Using Ember against a Lvl 100 Suicune type of slowburn. I'm trying my best to use every, Arceus damned word for progress, but characterization is important too!
