When she got betrayed by the very organization she was serving, that should have been the end of it. As a career soldier, Celestia Nadir should have passed on to whatever afterlife awaits someone who's spent twenty years of their life first as a soldier, then as a mercenary. But sometimes things don’t go as one expects when there’s deities involved. Artemis is a destitute Goddess punished hundreds of years ago for an incident that wasn’t entirely her fault. Lacking in faith and believers, all the Goddess of the Hunt wants is not only a champion, but perhaps a friend. But not everyone is pleased to learn that there’s another Champion of Artemis, and many of them fear a reckoning similar in scope to Celestia’s predecessor some thousand years ago.
