Realm: Uprising is about two outsiders(people who come from our world into the world of Realm): Jack and Rachel. The two were former members of British royalty until they touched a strange flower that brought them to this new and magical world; however, they were transported to this world at such a young age they do not yearn to return home. They, for the most part, don't even themselves as outsides after being adopted by the people of the world and raised there from a young age. The actual story only starts 12 years later, when the two have their first day at "Holard Magic Academy", a prestigious school for magic that recently opened in their small town, and they meet their eccentric teacher who runs a dangerous "field test" to find out everyone's magic type day one. From there, they start to enjoy a normal magical high school experience, which doesn't last particularly long, as they soon find themselves sent on missions to deal with the dangers of the world, as magic students are the closest their school has to an army, which puts their lives at stake daily. Not only that, but they must settle disputes with other magic schools, deal with an outdated and conservative magic council, and eventually, a full on war. The demon king(which isn't as prestigious a position as it sounds), decides to lead a full on siege to take all of the overworld under Hell's grasp, which would certainly earn him favor with Lilith, the left hand of Jod, incarnation of evil, and Hell's mother, making him be able to keep his position permanently. The siege, unluckily, started in Hoal Town where Holard is located, leaving the students to fight to protect of their hometown whilst the rest of the world fights for themselves. During the drawn out war, the current magic council is eventually overthrown making the ways of magic much more inclusive, and Jack and Rachel find out what it truly means to be an outside- to be fated to be a hero. All outsiders excel at one field, having their potential for said attribute excel the amount of any other normal person, with eventually unlocking such power they are able to beat the demon king, ending the war as the demons are forced back into hell and the whole group can settle down, setting up for the sequel which follows the next member of their lineage.(The prologue is starting lore of how the world came to be)
