Jacob is 40 and recently laid off. He's overweight, depressed, and scared. Seems like nothing has every really gone his way. Life started so promising. Great grades. Great education. He was personable and friendly. But then... nothing. The great jobs went to other people. The good jobs also went to other people. He'd been previously employed because he knew the right people a few times in a row, but those jobs never seemed to be the stepping stones he needed to reach new heights.  But he's about to meet up with an old friend and life is about to get ... strange.
