Nikola left the room and headed to the library, he needed to work out what his tattoos said before showing them to others, although the hunter had one, it was in the common tongue, not the pagan tongue. The Church had condemned the pagan tradition and persecuted followers of the old faith.
He visited the library and found the book he was looking for, he also found a book regarding baptism, although he couldn’t read most of the words on the tattoo, he recognised the word for baptised.
He found the two books and headed for his room, Emma was just sweeping the hall just outside his room, “Emma, I’m going to do some reading, can you make sure nobody disturbs me,” he said. Gaining a positive response, he entered the room and locked it.
He spent the next hour translating what was written on his arms,

Although it had less information on it, he was no less confused. He read the book on baptism. This was a shorter book, apparently what was written on people’s arms were their stat points or a quantified value of their bodily characteristics.
From what the book said, he could focus his attention on a particular line and an explanation would come up. He tried it on Health.
---
Health: - The first number represents the integrity of the body, injuries will reduce this number, while having it be reduced to 0 will result in death. The second number represents the max integrity you cannot be healed past this point at full health. Density + Endurance = max health. Regen 0.16%/Max per minute.
Stamina: - The first number represents physical energy reserves, movement and physical exercise will reduce this number and reaching 0 can cause you to pass out from exhaustion. The second number represents the max capacity of your physical energy reserves. 50% of physical stats effects stamina. Regen 0.16%/Max per minute.
You might be reading a stolen copy. Visit Royal Road for the authentic version.
Mana: - The first number represents mental energy, decision making and using cognitive abilities will reduce this effect and reaching 0 can cause headaches and reduce mental capacity. The second number represents the max capacity of mental energy. 50% of Mental and Metaphysical stats effects mana. Regen 0.16%/Max per minute.

Nikola then looked over to his other arm.

Increases mastery of close combat skills and ranged skills. Opposite traits: Highly Logical behaviour, Highly Emotional Behaviour,
Trait: Highly Logical Behaviour, you are more logically mined, able to work out and understand other people/beings’ behaviour even if it conflicts with your viewpoint. You take a more rational approach to the ways people interact with you. Increases mastery of practical craftsmanship skills and magic skills. Nikola noticed that his stats would normally take 10 hours for a full recharge, sitting would reduce that to 5 hours, but unfortunately studying would bring his mana regen back up to 10 hours.
Nikola continued reading the book on baptism, it talked about the different stats, however, it explained it in a non-straightforward manner.
---
Power is how much torque you can generate when throwing a stone.
Density is how heavy the stone is.
Dexterity is how good you can aim with the stone.
Speed is how fast the stone travels.
Endurance is the ability to throw multiple stones without a drop in the other stats.
Intelligence is the ability to calculate conditions that can affect your stone throw.
Wisdom is the ability to throw the next stone better than the first.
Luck increases the chance of getting the result you wanted with the stone throw
Presence is whether or not other people can tract your stone throw.
Perception is whether or not you can track your stone throw.

Nikola was going back and forth between his tattoo tips and the baptism book. His tattoos weren’t all that informative, while the book could somewhat fill in many of the blanks, like his stat points, from the tattoo he gained no knowledge of what to do with it, but in the book, it said; focus on the plus or minus sign of the stat you want to increase, and it will go up.
He had a long think about this, right now endurance gave him visibly the most benefits, increasing his health and stamina at the same time. However other stats might be useful in other areas, but for now, and as his test he placed it in Endurance.
---
Endurance 5.00 -> 6.00 [6.06]
Health 6.42/10.10 -> 6.42/11.11
Stamina 7.32/12.63 -> 7.32/13.13

Nikola found a force of energy originating from his heart and wash over his body, this took roughly 45 seconds to a minute until it started calming down.
At this time, he remembered the two books he got from the library yesterday, one was a meditation manual, while the other was called Class book: to become a Railmancer.
He took it out and read through it. There was a short introduction of the class explaining that it is a tier 6 class. The next part was about the construction of its build, however, this book seemed to expect the person reading it to have some general knowledge of how tiers and builds work. It only explained that the class has a version for the main four builds, infantry, skirmish, tactical, and mounted. And tree diagrams to explain the builds of each.
A Railmancer was as much a crafter as he was a combatant, preferred using and creating amplifiers, whether that was enchanted armour or mana conduits that increased the efficiency of spells. It also synergies well with equipment, offering more efficiency in their usage.
For the base foundation, he needed to gain and max the following skill: basic mana meditation; basic magic scripture; basic Tinkerer; basic blacksmith; basic maths.
Then for the next section, he needed:
basic blade training, basic shield training and basic spear training for infantry.
Basic blade training, basic bow training and basic Ballistic training for skirmish.
Basic mana manipulation, Basic Studying training and basic ballistic training for tactical
Basic spear training or basic bow training, basic horse riding and basic blade training.
luckily many of them overlapped for the tier 6 class, he should have enough time to gain all of these skills before he goes for the next class up. Although he only had 4 weeks until his official baptism, he would need to move fast if he was to achieve this.
He read through the book, it gave him tips on how to gain these skills and how to level them up fast, he could get the blacksmith skill by training with the local blacksmith, the tinkerer is also easy, the easiest way was to pick a lock and then take one apart and put it back together.
He wrote out a plan of action, he could do weapon training in the courtyard as usual as well as request training in the other weapon fields. Evenings were spent studying, so he should be able to fit in the smithing and tinkering in the afternoon. At night he can go out and hunt monsters for his level.
He would have to research what the tiers mean another time as he was quite short of time at the moment. He got dressed in clothes fit for training and left the room. Once he had left, he felt a tingling in his chest again, similar to when he added a skill point, only much milder, he looked at his left wrist and under his stats a new line appeared.
Gained basic studying skills 1/5 +0.1 Int, Wiz per level +10 Exp
EXP 10/84 Level 1/5
Int 5.00 -> 5.10 [5.36]
Wis 5.00 -> 5.10 [5.36]
Mana 8.98/15.15 -> 8.98/15.68
He hadn’t checked what the skills did yet, right now he had to get as many of the checklists as possible.
