Dragons soared through its unending skies, knights explored its untamed lands, and nobles sought to claim its untold riches. Then, the Empire of Iterations arrived They claimed Eramyre as their newest conquest—their newest entertainment—and crushed the planet’s fairy-tale beginning into a wet, grisly, and hopeless paste. Now, Eramyre is a fickle shadow of what it once was. Most of its people have accepted their fate within the integrated “System”, fighting amongst themselves for what little scraps of greatness they can cling to like a pack of dogs. But Zen and Lawrence—two teenagers struggling to survive—aren’t convinced that their fate is set in stone. They dream of a better life—a life where they can fight back against everything and everyone trying to pin them down. Luckily, they've caught the interest of a crafty, senile [Guide] named Regis. The old hermit plans to redirect Zen and Lawrence's paths, setting them on a headlong trajectory toward one of the Empire's low-ranking leaders and the coveted "Class Upgrade Stone" rumored to live within her vault. If they can steal it, maybe their lives will be more than a desperate struggle to survive. Maybe they’ll be able to stand up against the brutes and killers in the slums and, if they’re really lucky, they'll find a way into the Empire’s World Dungeon—where it’s said that anything is possible.
