The story begins with the main character, running desperately through a dark alley, facing both physical and mental challenges. The narrative states his struggles,  loss, a surreal encounter with death, and questions about life choices. Suddenly, the focus shifts to modern-day Japan. He is reborn as a child with vague memories of his past life (next to none). Discovering a twin sister and realizing their rebirth marks the start. Fast forward 14 years to Hiroshi's first day of high school, where he witnesses a classmate's murder, setting the story in motion.
