Vyde Embris is knowledgeable about many things. He knows much of daemonkind, how the Merging of the Planes brought them into existence, and of the chaos that followed. Thankfully, he knows how to dispatch such horrors, and he knows he's good at it. Or at least, he was. Vyde is now an older, tired man. He awakens one day to find that his memories, his life, the man he was, completely eludes him. And yet his memories deign to return to him, though they are fractured and sometimes incomprehensible, pieces of a story told out of order. For fear of losing what little he gains he writes what he remembers. He'll remember his home city of Lazarne burning, companions garnered and lost along the way, and how his nature as a man 'Touched' by an Enlightened daemon forever changed his destiny. Does Vyde's fractured mind still deceive him, or is there truth in all the madness?
