Five-volume series. James Enfield and Jennifer Richards are two kids from Violet City, starting off on their journey through the Pokémon world. As they cross through the major regions, they'll face fierce battles, heated rivalries, and deal with the rising threat of Team Triassic. It sure as heck won't be easy, but they plan to win anyway. This series is a Generation IV period piece. What this means is that any concepts, characters or situations that appear after Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver Versions OR Series 13 of the anime (Sinnoh League Victors) do not apply. So, to use one sort-of-spoilery example, the Togepi line will remain Normal- and Flying-typed. Starts off fairly tame, darkens over time. Originally posted on FanFiction.net in 2010.
