Juvenile orca convene at the annual Tide to learn how to survive and thrive in the pod. Their stay begins with a field trip to a mysterious, island-sized mass of metal rusting a hundred meters from the surface and a thousand from shore.  From the shadow of the inlander wreck, Brutus will teach the younglings their first and most important lesson of Pod School. Never provoke the creatures who built it.
