Synopsis
35-year-old drunkard Ackerly Burroughs was formerly known throughout The Ring as a genius shipbuilder, but after losing his family to a pirate raid, his notoriety was limited to bars and brothels. Determined to live out the rest of his life sloshed, Burroughs decided not to pay too much attention when three mysterious words appeared before his eyes: The Corsair’s Log.
But when Sedgley Archer, a chipper man and Burroughs’ only friend, approached him with talk of leaving these safe shores, the bitter man was forced to put down his drink. To ensure the safety of his only remaining friend, Burroughs sobered up long enough to build one final ship. Of course, a ship of superlative craftsmanship needs a superlative craftsman to maintain it.
Making sure there’s plenty of grog aboard, Burroughs sets sail once more to stormier seas.
