On a stormy night in 70s Georgia, two horrors are born. They are Petal and Husk; twin monsters, Nasties brought into an increasingly Normal world. The vampire butler Gerard has been assigned as their temporary guardian. He hopes the twins will mature into monsters befitting their heritage, but they have their own priorities. Namely: the actually evil monster knocking at their door. To make matters worse, this new Nasty is closely followed by Stanley Skinner, the only true monster hunter on the East coast. The new Nasty has it out for the twins, and Stanley has it out for everyone who isn't Normal. As Petal and Husk fight to survive, how will they evolve as creatures of the night? Will they become real monsters? Or are they less Nasty than they seem?
