The year is 5052 humanity has conquered the stars, in the systems around Sol the inhabited worlds are paradises. So much so that many call these worlds Glitterworlds, for they shine as a beacon of humanity's potential, the envy of the stars. On the rim of Human controlled space, however, are the Rimworlds. Lawless planets where might makes right, home to pirates, slavers, rogue AI and mutants. The miserable souls who end up there are usually descendants of explorers or criminals that have fled the core systems. It is on one of these Rimworlds that our story takes place, a teenage slave escapes from the hell that was his captivity with his younger sister only to be saved by a teenage girl a resident of a local colony. This is not an uncommon story on this god-forsaken planet but what is uncommon is the arrival of a new fleet in orbit sent from the Core Systems. It is a flotilla of one of the dreaded nine legions and their scans show something on this world is not as they expected. Unbeknownst to everyone on the planet this world was about to face a dramatic change. Will the legion bring fire and death as their reputation implies? Or perhaps they bring salvation? Only time will tell. The escaped slave, his sister and the local resident will find themselves in the middle of this great change. So fates turn like rolled dice, it is anyones guess what happens next.
