They all turned to look at me as if I was the devil, well everyone apart from Sordrock, he just had his casual appearance, as if nothing was happening at all.
Instead of turning back to Sordrock they decided to direct all the questions they had to me.
"How did you do that?"
"Can you solve our problem?"
"Why is Sordrock always so dismissive?"
Listening to them all talking at the same time, I had to shout so that they were able to hear me.
"CAN YOU ALL SHUT UP."
After hearing me shout they all quietened down, I pointed at them and told them to speak 1 at a time.
"You there, whats your question?"
"Why does Sordrock always act so arrogant?" He said it as if it was a fact, but it's just that they never cared about the NPC in the first place, so of course what happens when you arrogantly ask a question to an arrogant person? you will be ignored, but obviously, I didn't want to say that because it would ruin my image, so instead I said
"Why didn't you just ask him nicely?"
They clearly didn't listen to me last time when I told them to be polite, but now that they had it was like he had a revelation.
Moving on to the next person I asked him the same question
"Whats your question?"
"How did you do that?" He was still standing with a surprised expression from before when I told him that I was Sordrocks apprentice.
"If I told you, well then you wouldn't have to find it out yourself, right?"
His expression changed, he was now looking downcast, after he realised that he wasn't going to get the answer from me that he wanted.
Finally, I turned to the last person.
"Well then..." Before I finished I realised that he was already talking to Sardrock, clearly wanted to get something forged but not wanting to act polite.
"Hey, are you going to forge this for me or not?" He turned from arrogant to demanding as if the world belonged to him.
Just listening to him, I could tell that my image of being nice will be ruined, of course, if I could avoid this I would.
Just as I was thinking of a way to keep my image I saw him throw some of the items in the blacksmith on the ground, clearly he was about to upset Sordrock and even I can't do anything to Sordrock.
"Hey calm down, it's not like you have to be rude to get your point across, right?" Attempting to calm the situation down I started to mediate.
"But he won't forge for me, all he has to do is forge my weapon."
"Throwing items will not help you to get what you want will it?" after listening to my reason he started to calm down, that was until he saw someone else come up and politely ask Sardrock to forge the items they wanted, then he lost it.
"If you don't start forging my items within the next 10 minutes, I will kill you. You're just an NPC what can you do to me?"
Although it was kind of Sardrocks fault for forging the other person's items in front of him, then again people shouldn't act aggressively in front of NPCs because behind the NPCs is the AI and no one wants to mess with the AI.
I started to get angry, Sardrock was like my extended family, if anyone does anything to him then I will attack that person.
"HEY, CALM IT, NOW." After shouting at him, he became quiet and just looked at me, I carried on.
"Now that you have finally calmed down, can you just tell me what is wrong? Its pretty obvious Sardrock isn't going to forge for you now." If he doesn't answer me now then I'll just walk on, I could be levelling up my blacksmith abilities right now instead of talking to these people.
"What does it have to do with you? I'm trying to speak with Sordrock, this is none of your business, so just leave."
After he said I did exactly that, I just left, walking into the blacksmith.
"Hello Sordrock, need me to do anything for you today?"
"Welcome apprentice, as the apprentice of the Divine Smith Sordrock you need to show me your blacksmithing skills."
"Okay, you stand there while I go forge a sword for you." I was extremely happy, I would get to show off my talents at smithing if I have any that is.
I walked up to the forge and chose a spare hammer, unfortunately, I'm not 'experienced' enough to use it.
After picking up my hammer I walked over to the iron bars and chose a couple to use for forging the sword, I then selected a material to make the grip from which just happened to be from the leg of a wolf, chose some leather strips to put around the grip to make it comfortable to grip.
After selecting all the materials I went over to the forge, added the coal and used the bellows to get it to the proper temperature to soften the metal so it is easier to hammer, after the temperature is reached, I took the iron bars from the forge and started to flatten the metal into a rectangular shape to make the base of the sword, after flattening the metal I cut a small part away from the bottom to use as the handguard.
After flattening the metal, I used the hardy tool to cut away small parts at a time to create the tip and cut away parts to make the handle of the sword, after doing that I went onto the handguard, I put the metal used for the handguard back into the forge so to make it easier for when I use the hardy tool to cut through the metal, after cutting into the handguard, I slid it up to the shoulder of the blade and put it to one side, picking up the wolf bone for the grip I used a saw and cut off both ends and used a chisel to cut through the bone top to bottom sliding that up the handle.
If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.
Wrapping the grip, to wrap the leather onto the grip I used silver wire, this is quite expensive, one bar of silver is 25 silver pieces, which then I'd have to melt down to make silver wire, after wrapping the grip with the leather and silver wire.
After making the grip I go back to the sword and use the grindstone to sharpen both sides of the sword to make it double-edged with a pointed tip, thus creating my first sword.
...
I made my first sword, I couldn't be happier.
Until I saw the stats, then I realized I should probably not be happy about it.
Iron Sword (White - Common)
The first sword ever made by Rose Trinity.
Level Requirement - 2
Attack: 1-4
"So what do you think, great for a first try right?" I walked up to him with my newly made sword.
"It was alright for a first try, next time to make a better sword though alright?"
I could tell that he wasn't very pleased with the fact that my sword was bad, of course, him being unhappy caused me to be unhappy.
Ignoring everyone I walked up to the forge and started practising making iron swords, I wasn't going to finish until I had made a green sword.
...
Several hours later.
Another fail... Up to this point, I had made a pile of useless swords, just a pile of common white grade swords, without caring for the time I continued to forge swords, I wouldn't give up until I had managed to make an uncommon green sword.
...
2 hours later.
Finally. I had managed to make it, it was worth the large amount of time I had spent forging, I had finally made a sword that could possibly make Sardrock happy, of course, at the same time I was thinking, if this doesn't make you happy then I don't really care anymore, I would log off that instant and spend the rest of the day being depressed.
"Sordrock, what do you think about this sword?"
I handed the sword over.
Iron Sword (Green - Uncommon)
The First Uncommon sword made by Rose Trinity.
Level required: 5
Attack: 5-15
Strength + 2
"This sword is better compared to your last, here take this as your reward."
As a reward for your hard work Sordrock has awarded you:
2 Pieces of Refined Iron.
I was surprised by the reward given by Sordrock, refined iron is just like normal iron except it has been refined over and over again, removing the impurities making it a harder and stronger material, better to use and extremely valuable for someone who is still inside the beginner village.
"Thank you for the reward, I promise I won't use it until I have a better blacksmithing skill."
I knew using it now would only ruin the refined iron.
"You can use it if you want, but I won't replace it if you ruin the material."
After he said that he walked off.
I went to the front of the blacksmith preparing to go back to the wolves so that I can level up some more, but I noticed the group of users standing in front of the blacksmith still.
I walked up to them, asking "What are you lot still doing here?"
"Still trying to get something forged."
They looked all depressed so I decided to do them a favour and ask Sordrock for them, so I went back inside to find him.
After walking to the forge furthest away I saw him preparing materials.
"Sordrock can you forge for those waiting outside the blacksmith?"
"Why should I do that? Those arrogant fools will have to stand there forever if they want me to make items for them." He huffed arrogantly, clearly annoyed by what they did earlier.
"Sordrock, can you please help them? It's annoying them just standing there all day complaining." I pleaded for them, after all when you're standing near the front of the shop you can hear them complaining.
"Fine, if I do this for you, you better create a rare grade weapon within 20 days." He used this for bargaining.
I clearly knew what he saw saying, he wanted me to do the impossible, by agreeing to him I knew that I would end up spending all my time forging, although it is possible to gain exp when you are forging, that isn't available until you reach level 10, making all these forged works mostly useless because you can't sell white common gear as it is common, literally useless for players, even knowing this I knew that I would have to agree, or else it is possible he might be upset about me wanting to refuse to forge, after all, it isn't like you can become an apprentice to a Divine Smith.
"Alright, I'll make you a rare grade item within 20 days, so can you please forge them items." I said while pouting, clearly trying to act cute to make sure he keeps his end of the deal.
"Yeah, Yeah, Yeah" He spoke whilst walking towards the front of the store.
