Just before we got into the dungeon we heard the booming voice.
"What difficulty would you like to select?"
Little did we know that Corrupted Valour had already chosen and he had chosen the hardest difficulty possible.
"Hell"
Hearing him say that I became dazed, I'm level 3, level 3 on hell mode, that's like being level 1 and attacking village/town/city guards. It is literally a death trap.
Before I could say anything we were teleported into the dungeon.
"Hell mode? really?" I had to question whether or not he was really sane.
"What, you got a problem with that?" He just stood there staring at me.
"Ah well, we've already started." I got used to my surroundings again.
We were inside a dense forest, the trees as tall as 40 ft, in front was a pathway to walk across.
I walked to the edges of the forest and tried to hide, when hiding in cover you could receive anywhere between a 10-15% increase to stealth.
I found out that you can only move a few trees in before it stops you from moving, I saw the party started moving forward.
...
after 10 minutes of walking,
we finally reached the first Earth Golem.
Earth Golem (Normal) Level: ???? Health: ???? Attack: ???? Defence: ????
As expected I'm too low to see the statistics for this.
"What should I do? I can't even see whether or not I can even hit it..." I had to ask, it's not like I can remember every little detail.
Corrupted Valour looked at me once and told me, "Just stay put, you'll gain EXP and when you level up you can help the team."
Well, then I guess I'll just watch, not like anything bad can happen.

+ 150

.....
1 hour later and I had levelled up 4 more times.
Name: Rose Trinity Title: Divine Smiths Apprentice Race: Dark Elf Level: 7 Class: Thief Life Class: Blacksmith Health: 240 Mana: 100 Strength: 18 [5] Constitution: 14 [3] Agility: 24 (1) [7] Dexterity: 14 [4] Intelligence: 11 Charisma: 12 [1] Luck 10
I looked towards the party and realized that they all had their levels and stats hidden, all I could see were names, health and mana.
We continued onwards, I looked to see if I was able to view the stats.
Earth Golem (Normal) Level: 11 Health: 5000 Attack: 25 Defence: 100
I spoke to Corrupted Valour again. "Hey, do you think I will be able to do any damage to this golem?"
"Go hit it, we'll wait." He stopped his team members from attacking the earth golem and I went into stealth.
I went into my bag and equipped Ghost-Forged Shank.
Ghost-Forged Shank (Green - Uncommon - Dagger)
Level Required - 5
Attack: 5 - 13
Agility + 1
I got close to the golem and used stealth, then I walked towards the back of the golem and used backstab.
- 73
It got stunned for 2 seconds, so I used this time to quickly run away.
"I hit it and broke its defence, but that's only when I used backstab..." I looked towards Corrupted Valour with a slightly smug smile on my face.
"Okay, then I guess you can kill it then?" His face turned into a beaming smile, whilst mine started to wither.
"Want me to try?" I smiled at him, I could kill it but it would take some time.
"Go ahead." He and his team sat down and waited for me.
I started walking towards the golem.
Stolen novel; please report.
...
I suddenly remembered something and shouted back to them "If I kill it then I get to choose a drop okay?"
I remembered that they had a 5% chance to drop the lockpicking skill, one of the best drops for a rogue.
"Okay." He didn't seem to care and continued watching.
...
I got close again and used stealth along with backstab.
- 84
I followed it up with a 2 normal attacks.
- 35
- 25
I could clearly see I was on the edge of breaking his defence.
....
The cycle of using stealth, backstab and normal attacks continued for a long time.

You have levelled up
I had levelled up again, and the golem had died and dropped the beloved 'Lockpicking skill book'
"I killed it so I want to choose this lockpicking skill book alright?" Even though he had agreed to give me a drop from it, I had to confirm, he could have easily kicked me from the party then I would be kicked out of the dungeon and all the possible exp and fire essence would be lost.
"We agreed you could choose, so you can take it." He still had a smile as if he didn't really care about the skill book.
I quickly used it.
