Synopsis
Once, evil threatened to overtake the land.
Doomsday devices capable of destroying the continent were ready to be deployed. Armies of artificial constructs stood ready to march forth and raze all before them.
Behind it all was a single man. History's greatest villain, the Tyrant of Madness, Overlord Zaerk.
In front of him stood a young paladin. She thought his eyes would freeze her where she stood, but she somehow managed to scrape together her courage and open her mouth.
"Why are you doing this? From what I've seen, you weren't an evil ruler."
Overlord Zaerk's eyes lit up.
Finally, someone who wants to listen to me!
The paladin turned out to be a good listener, and he spent the next five hours monologuing.
By the time he was done, the paladin's comerades had disabled all his Doomsday devices (using the codes he provided in his monologue) and taken over his construct army.
This is the story of a tyrant who has an unfortunate tendency to overshare.
