Synopsis
Powerful from the beginning of the story, this is a chronicle of great sorcerers who didn't have a very heroic growth arc, those underrepresented in the songs but overpowered in reality. These are the individuals that after a short period of being weak and in danger, quickly gained strength and ascended with basically no obstacles to their positions of modern fame.
We will be starting with the Dark Mage, a random guy with immense hidden talent who stumbled across a tome of dark magic one day and just figured things out, becoming skilled in all the dark arts but never getting possessed by an evil spirit like most dark wizards do.
Statistically, he saved more people's lives than the Dragon-slayer, Demon-slayer, and Monster-slayer combined, but of course, he is considered one of the most mysterious and dangerous entities in existence because he walks in shadows and whatever. His interests are necromancy, blood magic, shadow wielding, and pretending to be a lowly sorcerer before revealing his true identity and scaring everyone. He is also a fairly competent healer, though nobody has ever requested him to heal their wounds before.
Expectations:
Very messy and spontaneous writing, with random shifts of tone
Humor, shitty world-building, and characters bordering Gary Stus/Mary Sues
Slice of life but not exactly (which is why I didn't put the tag)
Fairly frequent updates, but no fixed times (probably 2-4 chapters per week)
