Synopsis
In 2050, the world is ruled by blockchain, where power has been seized from the tech giants and Web3 is the new way of life. Nasir, a 17-year-old from the slums, lives in a seemingly decentralized world, where individuals own their own data, and control over finances lies within cryptocurrencies. But in reality, the revolution that began 40 years ago with Bitcoin has given rise to a new tyranny: MegaCorp, an alliance of the tech giants, controls the infrastructure that powers the decentralized economy.
Governments have adapted by creating a global currency, ZoboCoin, to maintain order, while mining becomes the domain of the elite with vast machines consuming power. The dream of true decentralization is a lie—data is still controlled by those at the top, and the powerful Netizens now rule over the world’s smart contracts.
Nasir, born into a world of inequality, begins to question everything. Is true freedom even possible when access to the tools of power is so limited? With his father’s death on his mind and a hunger for justice, Nasir must navigate a world where owning your data means nothing if you can’t control the system. Can he expose the truth before the Netizens destroy him?
