A short story about a man who suffered a terrible fate. Otec follows the life of Ludwig Klavir, a locally known pianist in the Mysl Theater as he spent everyday of his life currying favors and attending parties to make ends meet. Which unfortunately results into a distant relationship in his wife's everyday life. Finally being able to spend time with Anna as they excitingly wait for the birth of their newborn son, a tragedy occurs.
