Judge Jay Black believed he had the pinnacle of his desires for the future within sight. He was recently appointed as a judge, a definite milestone. Jay also held interest in forging swords and today he would fufill the longtime dream of forging swords to put on top of his mantelpiece... except he might not see his home again. Laftus was a bored king. He had the intellect, strength, and resources to carve out his own empire, but preparations for anything successful would only complete in the far future. While he did enjoy his otherwise easy-going and decadent life style, he wouldn't spare resources to bring a hammer down on insurgents.
