Chapter Four:
Location: The Clock Tower
Time: Late Night
Goal: Make an alliance with the Tower Cabal.
I - You stand with Alice at the hidden entrance at the base of the clock tower. She runs her hand over the dark stone to reveal a glyph. Alice's uses her finger to spin its circular frame before locking it into place. Another circle appeared as an inner layer, and Alice proceeded to rotate each subsequent layer until she finished the combination that allowed the seal to open and reveal a passage inside. As soon as you and her enter, you are ambushed by several Hexenite guards.
Tower Guard 1 - "Who are you and how did you get in here?" One guard demands an answer while brandishing his arm. Blood was oozing from his scars, but he was able to freeze each speck into a thin, piercing needle that he could launch from his arm.
Alice - "I'm an old friend of Haskar, I hear he passed away recently and I came to pay my respects and offer an alliance with the new leader, Leon." Alice offered her hand for the guard to shake as an act of diplomacy, "I'm Alice."
Tower Guard 1 - He lowers his arm and steps back into the shadows, "You may enter, but we'll be keeping an eye on you, betrayer."
I - You follow Alice up the winding staircase to the top of the tower. Behind the the face of the clock, sat Leon, the young leader of the Cabal of the Tower. He looks disheveled with an unshaven beard and thinning, straggly hair, yet his soft face shows youth.
Leon - "Who are you?" He looks at Alice and then at you with brooding, dark eyes.
Alice - "I want to offer you an alliance with the Cabal of Solomon," She cut straight to the point. "I have a truck full of guns and ammunition stolen from the Fang Lord Gang. In return, you'll help protect me from the Consortium."
Leon - He scoffs, "Why should I help you? I don't know you and you come into my Sanctum to make demands?"
Alice - "I know Haskar was killed by a rival cabal, the Alistair. They presented his head to the Consortium. I want to strike back at them, and with your help, maybe garner enough resistance to force a truce. It'll give us some time to recoup our losses." Alice suggested.

Leon - He stares at her for a second before responding, "Bring me what you stole, as well as assist my troops in a skirmish against the Alistair, and I will accept your alliance." He and Alice shake hands, "They'll head out on their mission as soon as they look through the equipment themselves."
Alice - "Unfortunately, I must rest for a moment, I can explain everything to you later in private. However, my follower who helped secure it will be able to assist." She and Leon smile and agree on each other's terms, for now.
Fayteville Street Alley: Across the dense sprawl of the grinding industrial city of Fayteville, wide alleys spread far and wide, some with their own communities that use nearby trash to build makeshift shelters. Every now and then, the groups grow to a large enough size that the police have to come in to scatter them. Drugs, exploitation, and violence are common in these communities, which makes it a great hunting ground for hungry Hexenites who feed on the nutrients provided by human bodies. Hexenites control various territories and turfs in all cities, but if a supernatural is hungry enough, they'll cross any boundaries to get their fill.
I - You crouch along the edge of a rooftop overlooking a bustling tent colony in the southern side of Fayteville. After Leon's Cabal was able to confirm what Alice told them, you were immediately shipped off with a couple of bruisers to terrorize some Alistair grunts. The plan was to wait for a couple of their hungry Hexenites to steal away some prey before retreating to the rooftops to devour their meal. It was a game of patient waiting. Once a target had been found, you and the others would make sure to send a message. However, Alice had given you a special request beyond Leon's requirements. After roughing up the Alistair Hexenite, follow them back to their hideout. That information could be valuable for later.
Tower Ally 1 - Perched across from you, you see your ally give you the signal that a target has been found. He moves to the unlit side of the wide alley where you can see what looks like a drunken couple leaving for some privacy, but as you continue to watch. You notice the female's human form slowly shifting. Using her superior strength, she kills her victim before he can react. You watch as your ally manifests only a portion of their true form, his horns and claws barred out as he descends on his target.
I - You deftly maneuver from rooftop to rooftop until you can reach your ally's position. You descend to the street level to help, but the target gets away. Your ally is satisfied with the damage he's done. Looking at the copious amounts of blood strewn along the walls and pavement, you're not sure the target will live long enough to reach its hideout. Your ally tells you to come back to the clock tower at some point and leaves. While they return to their Sanctum, you continue to track the target's blood trail. You follow it until you see your target limping along a street corner. You keep out of the light and watch them from afar.
Target - She pushes open a door that leads into an expensive apartment complex called "Eden's Garden." A well-lit street light illuminates a polished white exterior wall. Two glass windows gave a view of a central lobby that split into each tenant's rooms. No one was stationed at the lobby, so the target continued to limp forward until they reached their room. They reach into their pockets to pull out a key and insert it into Room 3's lock. She enters the room and locks the door behind her.
I - You make a note of the street and surrounding locations before leaving the target and returning back to the clock tower to inform Alice. Your successful mission has solidified the alliance between the Solomon and Tower cabals. As the day comes, you find your body growing tired and watch as your human disguise disintegrates and your natural form returns. The same falls upon the rest of the Tower and you sleep until the next early night.
