After a brutal massacre perpetrated by a mysterious foreigner, a magical force has lured the omen-hunting sorceress Madwen to a prosperous city somehow forgotten. Darkness tests the ever-weakening barriers of her mind as she clings to her sanity, while her hired muscle, Worne, clashes with the city's protective lord. It seems, however, that her sellsword may be harbouring a sinister secret of his own.
