Chapter 46 - Chronicles of Heavenly Demon III, Destruction of the Edea Life Tree
“Assimilate the newly added Undead! We must hasten!” A Death Noble named Biggs was busy barking orders as he was the next Commanding Officer under Parsifal. He and several Death Champions were able to earn or unlock a name after the Battle of Gaspless, specifically, Biggs was able to remember his memories and evolved to the next evolution as a Death Noble. As such, he was promoted to be the Captain of the elite Death Champions.
“I’ll be opening the gate,” a 6th Class Elder Lich descended from the sky with the spell, Fly.
“Wedge, do you bring news regarding the leader of these brigands?” This particular Elder Lich is Biggs’ younger brother who was amongst the very first to be resurrected in Dario’s earlier days.
“Affirmative. Lord Parsifal is wrapping things up and the Sith Lord will be arriving shortly,” Wedge was practically the replacement for Ptolemy and handled most of the transportation, and was the Chief Engineer of fortress-making. His workload had been increased by tenfold for the 6th Class Archmage.
Step. Step. Parsifal entered the scene with Grimjaw and a company of Redcaps accompanying the former. Both Biggs and Wedge saluted, “Lord.”
“Is it true? We have a famous person amongst our midst?” The Bow Saint had heard some surprising news that after the battle in the great valley, a certain Undead had grown powerful enough to remember his memories. Although such news spells no rise for suspicion, when the Undead uttered his name, everyone knew who he was.
Auriel.
That was his name, “Lead me to him.” They went to the fortress that was built with the efficiency of numerous species and came out to be excellent. With the labor of numerous species and the utilization of the Arcane, building-making in general is a breeze for the Omen people.
Biggs and Wedge opened the gates to the castle precedence where internal matters were kept private from the world. In the grand chamber where the ruling seneschal would judge state-of-affairs, a person standing beside the throne with a moon-lustrous bow and a quiver of glowing-white arrows came to view.
Auriel was a Flare Elf, or, Snow Elf was said to be a Chieftain of a once-great society that could rival the best nations of his time. Prolific in hunting, Auriel had several stories about his slayings of Vampire Lords, Demon Lords, and Ancient Dragons. His most famous battle was against the forces of Jorkhan in mythic times that sealed Auriel’s name in history.
The Snow Elf bowed deeply, “I greet The First Familiar.”
Parsifal signaled Auriel, “Please rise. It is only the Lord Vicegerent and Sith Lords who are worthy of the knee.”
“My thanks,” Auriel replied humbly.
“The honor is all mine to have someone such as you to be with the Demonic people,” Parsifal appreciated that an important figure was on their side.
“Indeed. I had not thought that I would ever escape the clutches of the desert. The evil was growing too strong the longer that Radian remained,” this details that Auriel had lived way longer than even when Hollow World had been entirely consumed by extreme yang energy.
“Come, there is much we need to discuss Lord Auriel,” the scene closed as Parsifal and the party began to cover what needed to be done next.
Lord? Auriel felt perplexed when he heard such a phrase. To be treated with the title of the people from the West? Strangely, Auriel felt a superiority complex brought about. A grin appeared on the Snow Elf’s flawless face, signifying a deep satisfaction.

Parsifal had defeated the Golden Bow Saint in a bout that ended with divine darkness toppling against golden glamor. Objectively, Grimjaw was one level below Judge Atoru. Had Parsifal not been the victor of the previous battle against a fellow Judge, then the battle against the Golden Baron King would have been difficult.
Red John, Grimjaw, and now, Auriel? Kuku!! Parsifal had a grin as wide as the Grinch. The Bow Saints that was personally commanded by the Lord Vicegerent is upon completion.
Much like everyone in the Omen Sect, they have their duties and obligations, however, sometimes Jinn will assign some “Side Quests” to a few figures. Parsifal was tasked with having four Bow Saints as his Royalguard.
Essentially, there has been one group that is quite famous worldwide as having nine exclusive Bow Saints who guard Thranduil. Their group is the model which Parsifal must make similar to by having 4 Bow Saints. This was the solemn order in which the Hellfire Bow Saint was burdened to create “The Apollo Club,” a prestigious sect, group, or, organization for shooters who specialize in long-range fighting.
We lacked versatility as well. How delightful to have the elite Redcaps, Gnomes, Leprechauns, Halflings, and Hobbits. Parsifal praised the smaller-shaped members who had great utility for their size, not only that, Redcaps are known to be stronger than Death Knights, and the Lich species. Moreover, although not as lethal in battle, smaller species like Gnomes, and Leprechauns are magnificent tailors and production-specific species.
“The Sith Lord enters!” Wedge saluted as Dario entered the castle solar. Decadent and melancholic, every fortress was designed to give off a dignifying ambiance, yet, somber at the same time. Still, this did nothing to compare to the demigod that had physically entered their presence.
Whistle. “Looks like you’ve got yourself quite a haul there,” Dario spoke as his eyes were busy witnessing a woodland Elf armored in golden gear and a famous Snow Elf. The figures in the room immediately knelt as they felt the presence of the Sith Lord and humbled themselves, “Please, rise.”
Parsifal, Grimjaw, Auriel, Biggs, and Wedge could feel the “godliness” of the newly Awakened 9th Class. When their eyes were permitted to be lifted, they witnessed Dario clad in Jinn’s lordly garb. The Lord Disciple no longer wore any armor pieces and wore the Divine Artifact whose only utility is to make anyone who dons the hood to be fully incognito to the world.
He looked to be some holy priest, albeit, in jet-black clothing, Dario had worn the apparel of the ancient Mystics, an image of a cross between a Mage and a Swordsman.
Dario sat on the wooded throne and crossed his leg, “Report.” His arrogance could be felt alongside an overwhelming power that towers above the heavens. Parsifal instantly understood that Dario had fully assimilated to his newfound level.
Parsifal stood in front of the Sith Lord and introduced Grimjaw first, “He is the Golden Bow Saint of the Great Steppe Valley, a descendant of the Eldar Elves, Grimjaw.” The sun gleamed off of his golden armor with ornate etchings inlaid with gold, “I greet you, O’ Sith Lord.” Grimjaw had greeted Dario with respect as he had instantly realized the level between him and Parsifal. The woodland Elf felt like he was in the presence of a demigod, someone who was way above everyone else.
“Well met. I have heard of your exploits ‘Robber Baron King!’” Dario was delighted to hear such news. “We were in need of someone to fulfill the position as the official ‘Treasurer’ of the Night Army.” Although Grimjaw was not caught up to speed with the current politics, it was common knowledge that people such as “Treasurer” were understood to be the head of all finances.
“You would take someone such as me for such an important position?” The golden-haired Elf made a poetic remark.
A grin appeared as wide as the devil, “Of course. Kuku.” Dario chuckled like a laughing demon, “There would be no one better to bring in money than those whose greed is an endless abyss!”
Strangely, Grimjaw fully understood the sentiment that Dario was trying to convey, for now, that is. “The honor is all mine, O’ Sith Lord,” Grimjaw was grateful to receive such a position after shortly being resurrected.
“Next is Auriel. I believe he needs no introduction,” Parsifal sounded relieved.
Snow Elves are quite an uncommon species to witness. They live in the coldest places on the planet and compete at the highest levels, but, to meet someone like Auriel is akin to meeting the progenitor of the species. Flare Elves, who were one of the original Elves were said to beget children of “ice-like” features and beauty as cold as diamonds.
“Keke,” the laughing demon inside of Dario could not be contained as he expressed a chuckle. “To think I would have someone like you in my employ?” Dario praised the character that knelt submissively. “Please rise, Auriel, The Sun & Moon Bow.”
!
Auriel was surprised, “People remember such a name?” His voice was deep and resonated without even trying.
“Indeed. No one can forget the person who was able to ‘shoot’ both the sun and moon,” Dario knew better than anyone else the value of an individual. “O’ great Flare, will you lift your bow and guide your arrows for our sake?” the Lord Disciple was meek, requesting respectfully the help of an ancient leader. Not only that, beginning the question with a dialect akin only to the Flare Elves was speaking with the greatest of respect and honor.
“You need but give the order, O’ Sith Lord.” Auriel was humbly submissive and portrayed the mannerisms of the people of ancient times.
Dario signaled for Parsifal, “Perfect. The Heavens must be guiding our steps since a solution to the next phase for Ouroboros has opened.” The plan for the next great conquest in the southern continent had just opened up thanks to someone like Auriel.

“Pluck the roots of the Edea Life Tree and plant this divine seed,” Dario showed a tiny seed that was black but had a red stripe.
Parsifal put the seed in his Item Box, “I believe Auriel will be able to fill you in on the details about how to pluck such a big tree. Keke.” Dario had led the conversation on to the Flare Elf, “After all, Flare Elves were the ones to plant such trees, no?”

Troops were organizing in the newly-built fortress that looked like it could take on thousands of sieges with all that Ebony material, a bulwark defense against the physical and magical. Portals were opening as the fortress was a safe zone and is integrated with all Magic Towers that belong to the Omen Sect. Many citizens, artisans, and additional troops both Undead and living began their tasks and objectives.
The Vampire Noble, Count Creitz, and several Masters from The 50 Omens entered the stage via a portal that Wedge administered, “The air is full of life (nature) energy.” The Vampire Noble spoke with a subtle disgust.
*Gates opening.*
Dario and the party exited the castle, “Lord Creitz D. Sparda.”
Count Creitz knelt alongside the rest of the members who are the creme-de-la-creme of the elite Omen fighters. Master Bulhwi Hwihyun, one of the survivors who were rescued in Carugonia. He is a Fist Saint who was said to be the next generation to fill the role of a Demonic Master, one of the special few who were taught the Omen Stance Thunder God Fist martial arts. Unlike some of the captives who were tortured by having their limbs cut, Master Bulhwi Hwihyun was not one of them due to his Adamantium body being extremely tough to wither down and chop to pieces. It had been a while since his recovery, now, vengeance was the driving factor for his eyes held the darkest evil.
Master Iris, the daughter of the infamous assassin, Silent, who is M.I.A. (missing-in-action) during the Omen Campaign, is also similar to Master Bulhwi, but, is not destined to be a Demonic Master. On the surface, Iris is widely known to be a Master Thief of the Void Community and fills the coffers of the Thieves Guild with robbery contracts or by pilfering. However, her secret role is being an assassin for the Sal Mu Sect and also plays the same role in filling the coffers by fulfilling higher-paying assassination contracts. She is the type of character who doesn’t do anything unless she’s being paid for it. Apparently, she is to reinforce the assimilation of the Great Steppe Valley by hunting dangerous lifeforms and setting up the Thieves Guild Branch.
Next up are the successors of Master Bulhwi Hwihyun, Master Klaus Redfield, and Master Iga. The “Royal Belt,” Master Klaus Redfield was beside his Master who was tortured within the inner dungeons of Obviam Deis, and a Master of two high-tiered Job Classes. Both a Fist Saint and an Anchor, Klaus is someone who fights while using Magic, mostly, healing and restoration. He is an astute aggressor and possesses a strong knowledge of military tactics and politics. After the Omen Campaign, Klaus earned the title ‘Gold Demon,’ or, ‘Arrogant Demon.’
Conversely, Master Iga, the “Dark Belt,” was also in the same room with Klaus and their Master. He is a Fist Saint and an Enchanter who was secretly groomed as the “Shadow Disciple” in case the formal successor did not inherit the seat of power. Although it is an uncommon practice, a few Masters continue such a method. Master Iga earned the title of 'Shadow Demon,’ or, ‘Silent Demon’ during the Omen Campaign.
“I greet the Lord Disciple,” Count Creitz was a part of the Vampire family that Dario had wanted to possess such valuable Undead. It was perfect timing too since Deluc’s Dungeon had been successfully raided. With the added Sith Familiars that is Azad and Calamor, Dario’s greed was going to overtake him before one of the nameless Vampire Nobles spoke first. He was Count Creitz, a name that was personally granted by Jinn. Strangely, Creitz is one of the names of his Destruction Androids that tend to The Regalia.
It turns out that the nameless Vampires had names before but lost them some time ago. At the moment, Dario had instantly figured out as to why such powerful creatures were lingering in such an unknown cave - it was because they had slain their progenitor. When the nameless Vampire who is now Count Creitz revealed their identities, Dario thought it better to not slay such people, no matter how beneficial it may be to possess such jewels.
“Please, rise,” Dario motioned for his people to stand at ease. “It took some time to find a worthy position for you and your family.” The nameless Vampire family remained in their cave after their encounter with Dario until they were to be summoned.
“Not at all. My family was nothing but a Homunculus playing at life, a shadow of our former selves,” Count Creitz spoke in an archaic tone from someone who has lived for a long time.
“To be free, one must slay their progenitor. But, in the end, one becomes prisoners of their own fate,” Dario replied with wisdom equaling to the status of the Vampire Noble.
Thump. Thump. The heart of the ancient Vampire Noble began to race. To think that this cold heart would ‘feel’ once again? A smile donned upon the handsome Vampire Noble’s pale face.
“The world is much more lively when you’re living in it,” Dario approached Count Creitz and placed his hand on the Vampire Noble’s shoulder. “Smile sometimes, you punk.” A Gate opened and Dario was the only one to go through. The group bowed deeply as the Sith Lord left Ouroboros in their hands.
Flashbacks instantly imaged in the Vampire’s mind reminiscing about the time he had with Jinn. It was as if he was meeting someone similar to his progenitor, but, “otherworldly,” in a sense. The whole Sparda Family met with Jinn and had a life-changing experience. Who’re you calling punk? Questioning how a boy not even in his twenties would speak as if he knew what was good for others.
“Kuku,” a chuckle was surprisingly expressed. “Looks like I’ve been gone from the world for far too long,” the Vampire Noble is clothed in a black traveler’s brim hat accompanied by a black coat with a long black cape and pants as well as Ebony-plated boots. His attire has an All-Elemental resistant feature but is also capable of shielding someone completely while completely nullifying any impact. Strapped to the right hip is the “Sword of Light,” Claiomh Solais, a bewitching longsword with an elegant seraphim motif.
“Nonsense! The Sparda Family had woken up at the right time!!” Parsifal cheered as he had more than enough forces to pluck the Edea Life Tree from this world.
